Yesterday I filmed some stuff for my vodcast but it was disaterous! So I am going to make a poster to promote a positive side to young people, if you have any ideas then email me at: e.hewitt95@gmail.com.
My year 11 exams are coming up soon and it's suprising how many people are really starting to revise and get their act together. Most people are bound to get thier target grades or above and it's not just chance that lands people an A*. Even if the exams and work has been made easier, that is out of our hands and we're doing the best we can with the stuff we have been given.
Young people aren't as lazy and ignorant as they might seem, most teenagers are really trying to go somewhere with their lives.
Thanks :)

Day 3
Yesterday was Red Nose Day 2011 and teenagers at my school did something funny for money. They held cake sales, put on a show, did sponsored silences and dressed up as a range of things from Harry Potter characters to babies all in the name of Comic Relief.
This just shows how young people can have a good time to raise money for other young people in Africa and they put a lot of effort into their costumes and ideas. Comic Relief made a record breaking amount of money all thanks to the hard work of the public.
If you have anything you would like to share about Red Nose Day then please email me at: e.hewitt95@gmail.com

Day 2
In media, researching 'vodcasts'. It's the next part of my project that will inject some positivity into British ideas of young people. I promise you that we are not all bad!
Vodcasts are podcasts, but a visual creation instead. I have a few ideas, but I'm worried that my ideas won't really convey my message. If a cynical person walked into this classroom and saw the young people that are furiously typing and researching teenagers for this project, I assure you that they would take back their preconceptions. The year eleven media class are a wonderful group; they are chattery and upbeat, with a serious attitude to work. A stark contrast to the dangerous youth we have been researching.
Tomorrow will bring updates of my vodcasts progress, but if you have any suggestions that will convince people to change their ideas on young people, then please let me know!
Thanks :)

Day 1
Welcome to my first blog!
I've never really blogged before, so I don't know how good this will be but I've been asked by school. The project I'm working on is about giving young people a better image in the press, I've done a lot of research and it was rare that I found a positive article about under eighteens. The statistics I found were pretty bad and I was shocked at the language used to describe young boys. I don't know any 'evil', 'violent' or 'dangerous' boys my age!
My intentions are to show the people that the pre-concieved image of youth made by the media is completely wrong, I will report everyday, with new findings and stories.
If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas then don't be afraid to email me at: e.hewitt95@gmail.com
Thanks! :)
